I don’t like to focus on the little details in my image making – my work is loose and expressive. I much prefer to look at the bigger picture, with a focus more on light and shadow.

I have a love for illustrating all things natural, leaves, woods, anything that I can create many little marks with, I’d say mark making is my favourite thing to do in my illustrations.

Research is conducted mostly through illustration; however I do research into and for illustration as well, my work is well informed and relevant. Most of my projects are with an intent or message, they are communicative in nature and seek to spread awareness, my audience is wide ranging and is not limited to an age or ethnic group.

Collaborative work is also something I do a lot of in my course, it comes naturally from working within a studio space, but we also have a couple group projects per year, which creates a brilliant environment for learning to work alongside other creatives.
